Dr Saraswati Viswanathan is our Consultant Orthopedic surgeon. She is one of the very few practicing Lady orthopedic surgeons in Bangalore. She completed Masters in Orthopedics from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and was awarded the Gold Medal for being the Best Outgoing Student in Orthopedics. She pursued Fellowship in pediatric Orthopedics from Kanchi Kamakoti Child’s Trust hospital which is again a premier pediatric institute in southern India. After moving to Bangalore, she worked in St John’s medical college. Currently she is Trauma and Pediatric Orthopedic Consultant at Sparsh Hospitals. Her special interests include congenital deformities, limb lengthening surgeries and pediatric trauma. She has keen interest in academic activities and participates regularly in CMEs and conferences. She is an active member of Indian Orthopedic Society, Karnataka Orthopedic Society and Pediatric Orthopedic Society of India. Dr Saraswati has authored many articles in peer reviewed journals at both national and international levels. Dr Saraswati is a trained Carnatic singer and loves listening to good music. She is an avid reader and enjoys both fiction and nonfiction material. Currently she has training to play the Veena.
